Frequently Asked Questions about ISACA examinations!
Examination is held twice every year – first on second Saturday of June and later on second Saturday of December.
Following are the important dates for June 2010 examination.

What are the Registration fees?

Candidates can save USD 50 on the Exam Registration fee by registering online for the exam

How do I register for CISA / CISM examination?
  ISACA Kolkata Chapter cannot register for you.
Candidates are encouraged to register online at www.isaca.org/examreg and save USD 50 on the registration fee.
Alternatively, obtain a copy of the registration form from ISACA website, www.isaca.oeg/cisaboi or www.isaca.org/cismboi Complete the form and post it to the address stated in the form.
   
Do I need ISACA membership to register for the exam?
  No, you do not require ISACA membership to take the exam. However, you can enjoy substantial cost savings on exam fees and study materials if you hold an ISACA membership.
   
How do I know if my online registration has been confirmed?
  An online acknowledgement appears directly after finishing the checkout process. An email confirmation is sent immediately after completing your registration.
   
Will I receive a receipt for my registration payment?
  Yes, a receipt for the payment is mailed to you automatically once the registration form has been processed.
   
Refund and Deferral of Fees Refund
  Candidates unable to take the exam are eligible for a refund of registration fee, less USD100 processing fee. Terms and Conditions apply.
   
Deferral
  Candidates unable to take the exam can request a deferral of their registration fees to the next exam date.

Can I take the CISA and CISM exams on the same day?
  The CISM and CISA exams will be held simultaneously, therefore, they cannot be taken on the same day.
   
What is the format of the CISA exam?
  Candidates are given 4 hours to complete 200 Multiple-choice questions.

What is the format of the CISM exam?
  Candidates are given 4 hours to complete 200 Multiple-choice questions.

What is the CISA / CISM Passing Mark?
  A scaled score of 450 or above represents a passing score for the entire exam.
   
When will I be notified of my exam results?
  The exam results will be mailed approximately eight weeks after the test date. To ensure the confidentiality of scores, exam results will not be reported by telephone or fax. However, with your consent to item #26 on the registration form, a one-time pass/fail status and score notification will be sent to you via e-mail at approximately the same time that the results are mailed.
