About Kolkata Chapter
|
Kolkata Chapter of ISACA®, started its operations in a rather informal way in the year 1992 and received chapter status in the year 1996. ISACA Kolkata Chapter has been and continues to be a major supporter of and contributor to the association and foundation efforts. It has over 1000 members who come from a wide cross-section of business including the accountancy and information systems professions, central and state government, the banking, manufacturing and service sectors and academia.

To promote the education of and help expand the knowledge and skills of members in the inter-related fields of auditing, quality assurance, security and IT Governance.

To inculcate a culture of information sharing among members on IT Governance, quality assurance, information security techniques, compliance standards and problem solving.

To promote adequate communication to keep members abreast of current events in IT Governance, quality assurance, and security fields that can be of benefit to them and their employers.

To communicate to management, auditors, academia and to IS professionals the importance of establishing IS controls necessary to ensure the effective organization and utilization of data processing resources. |
